Women's Domestic Violence Court Assistance Service

The Women's Domestic Violence Court Assistance Service provides legal assistance for women in South Australia affected by domestic and family violence. Free legal assistance is available to help with the Magistrates court processes of applying for, varying, or revoking an intervention order. Assistance can also be provided to report breaches of an intervention order and to apply for tenancy orders through SACAT.

Supporting anyone affected by violence and abuse in their personal relationships. Due to the volume of calls, it is at times necessary to leave a message. Messages left will be returned. Discretion is assured. Return messages will not be left with anyone other than the original caller.

If you are:

- Living in a violent or abusive relationship and are unsure about what to do

- Wanting to leave a violent relationship

- Or are wanting to talk about what is happening to you

Can help by:

- Facilitating access to safe accommodation

- Providing telephone counselling

- Providing face to face short term counselling

- Providing information about accommodation, police, legal, housing and financial issues

- Supporting you to remain safely at home

InDIGO Program

InDIGO program is a free and confidential legal service that assists victims of family/domestic violence in the southern suburbs of Adelaide.

InDIGO can provide advice and assistance with: family law, child protection, tenancy, debt, immigration and intervention orders.

To be eligible for the service you must have experienced or are experiencing family/domestic violence and live and/or work in the council areas of City of Onkaparinga, Marion Council, Victor Harbor or Kangaroo Island.

Ceduna Domestic Violence Service

Centacare Catholic Family Services (Diocese of Port Pirie) provides crisis, case management and accommodation support for women and child or men and children.

Triple Zero (000) is Australia's primary telephone number for assistance to life threatening or critical emergency situations and works on mobile and fixed telephone lines.

112 is the International emergency number available on mobile phones but not fixed line telephones. Dialling 112 directs you to the same Triple Zero (000) call service and does not give your call priority over Triple Zero (000).

106 is for anyone with a hearing or speech impairment who require police, fire or ambulance. 106 directs you to the TTY (also known as a teletypewriter or textphone). This service is provided by the National Relay Service (NRS) and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Both 000 and 112 will work even if you do not have credit on your mobile phone and are not charged.

Men's Referral Service 1300 766 491

The Men's Referral Service offers men's family violence telephone counselling, information and referral support between 8am - 9pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 6pm Saturday and Sunday.

There is a live chat option available Monday to Friday 8am - 9pm and 10am - 3pm on weekends and public holidays.


RSPCA Safe Kennels

RSPCA Safe Kennels (SA) works with the community and organisations by responding to domestic and family violence to help families and their pets find safety.

SA Elder Abuse Prevention Phone Line offer a free and confidential service to help you find services, provides information and advice for your situation.

This service is available to older people, family friends, community members, workers and professionals, available Monday to Friday and you can remain anonymous.

Paws & People - Mount Barker

Paws & People provide financial assistance to people experiencing financial crisis whose pets need urgent vet medical treatment. Short term boarding, or find alternative accommodation, for pets of people going into hospital or find themselves homeless.
