Women's Domestic Violence Court Assistance Service

The Women’s Domestic Violence Court Assistance Service (WDVCAS) provides free specialist legal support to women experiencing domestic and family violence, particularly in navigating court processes and intervention orders.

WDVCAS is a statewide service delivered by the Legal Services Commission of South Australia that supports women affected by domestic and family violence through free legal advice, representation, and advocacy. The service assists clients to understand their rights, navigate the Magistrates Court system, and access related supports such as tenancy assistance and referrals to other services, ensuring women are supported throughout the legal process.

Services provided:

- Free legal advice and representation for intervention orders (apply, vary, revoke)

- Assistance navigating Magistrates Court processes

- Support reporting breaches of intervention orders and liaising with police

- Help with tenancy issues, including ending leases and SACAT applications

Yarrow Place

Yarrow Place Rape and Sexual Assault Service is a free service for anyone who has been sexually assaulted.

Yarrow Place is available 24/7 for people who have recently been raped or sexually assaulted. Call to access immediate supports and discuss options.

Supports include:

- 24 hour crisis response service.

- Professional therapeutic counselling for people aged 16 and over impacted and for their support people.

- Seminars, education, training and community capacity building.

- Intensive health and therapeutic outreach support for young people currently or previously under Guardianship.
