Australian Refugee Association (ARA) supports refugees, humanitarian entrants and migrants to settle, build independence and participate fully in Australian society.

Australian Refugee Association helps newcomers by providing practical settlement, migration, employment and community services to people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. ARA offers culturally sensitive support — including case management, visa and family reunification assistance, employment pathways and community connection programs — to empower individuals and families as they establish their lives in Australia.

Services Provided:

  • Settlement support and casework to help refugees adjust to life in Australia
  • Migration assistance and visa support (e.g., family, partner and humanitarian pathways)
  • Employment services and pathways to work
  • Youth programs and community engagement activities
  • Community education, cultural awareness workshops and advocacy
  • Social support, referrals and interpreter‑assisted services
  • Financial guidance, housing support and referrals to specialist services
