The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is a free community and hospital-based tertiary mental health service for young people aged up to 18 years.

Tertiary mental health services provide the highest level of care for those with severe and complex mental health issues.

Services include:

- Hospital-based mental health care.

Carers SA

Carers SA provides a number of services to young people aged 5- 25 in a caring role.

Services include:

- Connecting with other Young Carers through groups and activities (online and face to face).

- Chatting things through with a professional Young Carer Counsellor (online and face to face).

- Linking Young Carers with Tailored Support Packages that can assist them in their caring role.

- Provide short term 1:1 support with our goal setting/coaching program.

- Helping in a crisis with emergency respite if required.

- Supporting Young Carers in schools by advocating and provide training to teachers and wellbeing counsellors.

- School holiday activities.

West Coast Youth and Community Support (WCYCS)

West Coast Youth and Community Support (WCYCS) provides homelessness support in the Eyre Peninsula region, helping people access safe housing and related services through outreach and case management.

WCYCS supports people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness through coordinated case management and outreach services. They work with individuals and families to connect them with housing options, essential supports, and services that help improve long-term stability and wellbeing.

Services Provided:

- Case management for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness

- Assertive outreach for rough sleepers

- Support to access emergency or longer-term accommodation

- Coordination of support services (e.g. health, mental health, legal, budgeting)

- Early intervention to prevent homelessness

- Extreme weather response support (Code Red/Blue)

- Youth crisis accommodation and support (Youthaven)

The Foundry by SYC

The Foundry by SYC is a youth-focused support hub that helps young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness build independence, wellbeing, and connection through practical support services and programs.

The Foundry by SYC provides a safe and welcoming space in Adelaide for young people aged 15–24 to access housing support, life skills programs, employment assistance, wellbeing activities, food, showers, laundry facilities, and referrals to specialist services.

Services Provided:

- Youth homelessness support

- Housing and accommodation referrals

- Drop-in support services

- Shower and laundry facilities

- Access to food and pantry items

- Life skills and independent living programs

- Employment and career mentoring

Foyer Port Adelaide

St John's Youth Services Foyer Port Adelaide provides supported independent accommodation for young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness while helping them engage in education, training, and employment.

Foyer Port Adelaide is South Australia’s only accredited youth foyer, offering medium-term apartment accommodation and tailored support for young people aged 16–21 to develop independent living skills, build confidence, and work towards long-term housing and employment goals.

Services Provided:

- Supported independent accommodation

- Youth homelessness support

- Education and employment support

- Independent living skills development

- Mentoring and case management

- Goal planning and personal development

- Connection to community services

- Life skills and wellbeing programs

- Support to maintain training, study, or work

Flexible Learning Options

Support for young people disengaged from school to achieve their SACE or other vocational qualifications.

Case Managers form part of a team combining parents and schools and community services who support young people who have disengaged from school, or are at risk of disengaging from school, to learn life skills and achieve their SACE or other vocational qualifications.

Supports include:

- In class support.

- Mentoring.

- Parent engagement.

- Conflict resolution.

- Links to other community services.

- Learning options outside of school.

GOM Central is for young people who have lived in out of home care.

Provides online resources for young people leaving out of home care.

Headspace

Provides online and phone mental health supports for 15-25 year olds and for families seeking support on how to assist a young person.

Provides mental health supports with a mental health clinician or peer worker with lived experience of mental health. Provides guidance on supporting a young person with mental health.

Services include:

- 1-1 chat.

- Personal mental health toolkit.

- Resources.

Headspace - Work and Study Online Support

Provides free work and study online support for young people aged 15-25.

Receive 1-1 support for up to three months to reach your work or study goal.

Supports include:

- Identify your strengths, learn about yourself and what career you might like to pursue.

- Plan further education, course selection and enrolment.

- Write resumes and cover letters, and prepare for job interviews.

- Understand your workplace rights.

- Access support funding and services (NDIS, HECS, Centrelink).

- Take on new challenges like a new job or transitioning from school to start work or further study.

- Balance your mental health and wellbeing with work or study.

- Decide on goals that work for you and the steps to take to reach them.
