The private health insurance rebate assist with the cost of private health premiums. The rebate is income tested, income thresholds are indexed regularly and can be claimed through a reduced premium or through your tax return with the Australian Tax Office.

The rebate applies to Hospital, general treatment and ambulance policies. It does not apply to overseas visitors cover.
